The A327 corridor study is still a little way off when it comes to making improvements to the Whitley Street layout, but I'm pleased to say that the car park across the road from the shops is about to have its parking restrictions changed.
Obviously with its location, the worry is that it will be used as a parking overflow area for the Oracle, but equally a 30 minute time limit is way too short for visiting the opticians, the dentist, fitness centre, three restaurants or the sun tan centre.
It's something I suggested before I became a councillor, so I'm very pleased to see it going ahead in the next few weeks.
Now. if only I could do something about the fact that when you leave the car park you have to go down to the Oracle roundabaout... we'll see!
